By sharing my story with The Human Line Project and accepting this statement, I agree to the following:

  1. Application
    1. This statement applies to the story I have shared about my experiences with AI chatbots (the "story")
  2. Agreement with the content
    1. I understand and accept that The Human Line Project has created a written text (the "text") based on my story.
    2. I acknowledge that The Human Line Project is the author of this text.
    3. I declare that I have read the text prepared by The Human Line Project, that to the best of my knowledge it is an accurate and careful representation of what I have said, and that I agree with its content and with the manner in which it will be shared online.
  3. Permission for publication
    1. I give The Human Line Project permission to publish the text about my story on its website and in the associated online channels it uses.
  4. Withdrawal of my consent
    1. I understand that I can later ask The Human Line Project to remove my story (the text) from the website and its own channels. The Human Line Project will then do so as soon as reasonably possible.
    2. I also understand that copies made or versions shared by third parties (e.g. screenshots or republications) may be beyond the control of The Human Line Project and cannot be completely reversed.
  5. No liability for publication
    1. To the extent permitted under the laws of Canada and the Province of Québec, I accept that The Human Line Project is not liable for:
      • damages, losses or consequences resulting from the publication of my story (the text);
      • the posting, abridgement, anonymisation or removal (or failure to do so) of my story (the text);
      • the use, sharing or copying of my story (the text) by third parties after it has been published online.
    2. By agreeing to the publication of my story (the text), I acknowledge that publication on the internet always carries the risk that the content will be shared by others, beyond the control of The Human Line Project.
  6. Applicable law
    1. This statement is governed by the laws of Canada, in particular the laws of the province of Québec.
